DLT Registration Process

Any customer looking for Bulk SMS sevices need to get registered into DLT first, then header request on DLT portal and template (SMS Cotent) to be approved there.

DLT Registration Process

Voice SMS:

• Voice can be record using Mobile phone or laptop or in Market with MP3 format
• Each recording should be less than 5 mb
• 28 Second recording = 1 Voice SMS Credit
• 58 Second recording = 2 Voice SMS Credits

Text SMS Credit Calculation – English:

[One panel supports 1000 characters, and one panel supports max 459 characters to be sent in multipart]

• upto 160 Characters = 1 SMS Credit
• upto 306 Characters (153×2) = 2 SMS Credits
• upto 459 Characters (153×3) = 3 SMS Credits
• upto 612 Characters (153×4) = 4 SMS Credits
• upto 765 Characters (153×5) = 5 SMS Credits
• upto 918 Characters (153×6) = 6 SMS Credits
• upto 1000 Characters (153×6)+(1×82) = 7 SMS Credits

Text SMS Credit Calculation – Unicode [Hindi and other languages]:

[Panel supports 500 characters in unicode to be sent in multipart]

• upto 70 Characters = 1 SMS Credit
• upto 134 Characters (67×2) = 2 SMS Credits
• upto 201 Characters (67×3) = 3 SMS Credits
• upto 268 Characters (67×4) = 4 SMS Credits
• upto 335 Characters (67×5) = 5 SMS Credits
• upto 402 Characters (67×6) = 6 SMS Credits
• upto 469 Characters (67×7) = 7 SMS Credits
• upto 500 Characters (67×7)+(31×1) = 8 SMS Credits

Template Approval Categories

Service Implicit / Inferred: 

• SMS Delivery 24x7
• DND Delivery: Yes (Delivery to all the mobile numbers)
• Header: 6 Alphabet

Service Explicit (Promotional SMS): 

• SMS Delivery: 10AM to 9PM
• DND Delivery: No (Delivery only on Non DND mobile numbers)
• Header: 6 Alphabets
• Concent Approval: As of now its working without concent till the new guideline came into effect

Promotional SMS: 

• SMS Delivery: 10AM to 9PM
• DND Delivery: No (Delivery only on Non DND mobile numbers)
• Header: 6 Digits

Transactional SMS: 

• SMS Delivery: 24x7
• DND Delivery: Yes (Delivery to all the mobile numbers)
• Header: 6 Alphabets
• Allowed for: Banking and Government Entities subject to documents and KYC
