Implementation of Pre-Tagging of Variables on DLT Platforms

Pre-tagging of variables in SMS templates has been successfully implemented and is now live across multiple DLT platforms, including: VilPower, SmartPing, Jio, Airtel, Tata, BSNL, and others.

 ✅ What You Need to Do

  • No action is required at this stage for templates that are already approved.
  • If any future guidelines are issued regarding scrubbing, editing, or migration of existing templates, we will inform you separately.
  • You will also receive official communication directly from your respective DLT provider via email.

📌 Guidelines for Using Variables in SMS Templates

DLT platforms support 6 types of variable data, each with specific usage conditions. Please use them strictly as defined below:

Usage: Strictly for numeric values such as OTPs, transaction amounts, or counts
Example Value: 348954
Maximum Character Limit: 40

Sample Template:

{#alphanumeric#}

Usage: For values containing both letters and numbers, such as reference IDs, ticket numbers, addresses, or passwords
Example Values: SR3852PW, 32C Hubli Bangalore
Maximum Character Limit: 40

Usage: For website URLs, tracking links, or portal links
