1600 Voice Outbound Service

Govt. of India (TRAI) has started new initiative for all the outbound calling from companies to customers using a special number series strating from 1600, so that end customer can identify that they are getting geniune calls, these are not spam calls. We as a partner of Tata Teleservices providing this services including IVR and call recording facilities. 

There is a new mandate from TRAI:

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a new direction mandating the use of the 1600 numbering series for IRDAI-regulated entities as well.
As per the direction released on 16 December 2025, all companies regulated by IRDAI are required to use 1600XX numbering exclusively for their service and transactional calls, with effect from 15 February 2026.
Post the timelines specified by the regulators, all service or transactional calls made by entities governed by RBI, SEBI, PFRDA, and IRDAI must originate only from numbers under the 1600 series.
Entities that fail to migrate to the 1600-series within the stipulated timelines will be treated as unregistered telemarketers in the event of any Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC) complaints.
Please ensure necessary actions are taken to remain compliant with the regulatory requirements.
